FAQs

  • Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and talk about what’s bringing you to therapy. We’ll explore your goals, review a bit of your background, and go over things like confidentiality and consent. This will also be an opportunity to clarify understanding of the intake paperwork. I know opening up is hard, especially about anxiety, OCD and shame. I’ve heard it all and will go at a pace where trust can form.

  • Life happens! We’re all human, and sometimes things come up. I just ask that you give at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. This helps me offer that time to someone else who may be waiting. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice may be charged the full fee, though of course true emergencies are an exception.

  • For some people, telehealth offers ease and accessibility; for others, in-person sessions just feel better. I aim to give you the choice. We can meet online, in my office in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle (near the zoo!), or even do a hybrid mix of both. We can talk through what works best for you during your consultation.

  • March 4th is the only date that gives a command: March Forth. For me, it’s become a personal holiday—a reminder to keep moving toward my goals, dreams, and growth.

March Forth isn’t about big resolutions or overnight change. It’s about taking one intentional step—sometimes brave, sometimes wobbly—toward the life you want. It might mean stepping outside your comfort zone, letting go of old fears or shame, or simply showing up as your truest self.

  • Valid question! Hopefully this website and consultation will give you a good idea of who I am, why I do this work and the training I got under my belt. Please feel free to ask any questions. Usually after consult we can feel if the vibe is a good fit. I also ask that clients give therapy a solid go (couple of sessions AT LEAST) to build trust and get our rhythm going. As always though, your care matters most. If you feel like you’re not getting what you need bring it up with me so we can make adjustments or I can help find you referrals.

  • You bet! As a queer, multiethnic (German + Mexican + unknown, tbh) neurodivergent person I find it vital to work with folks from all walks of life, especially those who are most marginalized and oppressed by systemic issues in our society. My specialty from the start has been LGBTQ+ populations and although I’ve narrowed my niche to focus on anxiety related disorders I still have a passion for working with this community. I am Latine (but don’t speak fluent Spanish b/c of dang assimilation) and understand the culture. I have some experience with ASL and although not a certified translator, I do understand and can communicate more than the average person and am passionate about having accessible services. Please inquire about anything related to diversity during consult and throughout our time together— it matters! YOU matter!
